Internet Banking Use and Enhanced Services

Internet Banking Use and Enhanced Services

QUICK TIP: LOGIN

The first time you access Internet anking, you will need to use the 19 digit (PAN) number on your Member Card. If you currently have more than one Member Card and use Internet banking, you will need to use the card with the lowest PAN number for login. For your password, use LAST FOUR digits of the card you used for login, followed by the number “8” as your personal access code (PAC) to sign on to Internet banking. You will be prompted to change it. PACs must be 5-8 digits (numbers only). Follow the links to find out about the enhanced services for Internet banking and telephone banking.

QUICK TIP: ACCOUNT NAMING

You are now able to rename your deposit and savings accounts to anything you wish and that change will follow into all aspects of your banking. If you rename your Blue Chip Account to My Vacation Account, when you do your banking on-line, by phone or in person, that is what you see and how we will reference your account in talking to you. You don’t have to worry about numbers anymore, just a name that means something to YOU.

To rename your account once you’ve logged in to Internet banking:

  • From the top menu, choose "My Profile"
  • An additional menu will appear on the left which includes a button "Rename Account"
  • Choose the account you wish to name from the "Select an Account" from the drop down menu
  • Type in the new name in the "New Account Name" field using only alpha-numeric characters
  • Click continue
  • Click submit
  • You will get confirmation if your attempt was successful

You continue to have access to all of the features you had with cuanytime.

Changes to current features include:

  • Imagine having access to two years of account history! When you first begin using the new Internet banking system, you will not immediately have an account history, the first transactions that will appear will be transactions that will be cleared after July 13 and your account history will build from that point and can include up to two years of account history.
  • You now have a choice in how your account history is sorted. By default, it will show your newest to oldest transaction order, but you can choose to view it oldest to newest - it’s your choice.
  • Account Activity Downloads – you’ve always had the option to download your account activity transactions into third party financial software including:
  • Quicken
  • QuickBooks
  • Microsoft Money
  • Simply Accounting

We’ve added a (comma delimited text) option so you can transport your data into software like Microsoft Excel or other Database software (e.g. FileMaker or Microsoft Access). Additionally, you can now choose to download your account activity directly as a PDF (portable document format) that you can view with Adobe Reader which can be downloaded for free from www.adobe.com.

NOTE: If you use Internet Banking AND download your account activity into other accounting software (Quicken, QuickBooks, MS Money), there are some special steps you will have to take the first time you want to download from our new Internet banking system. Follow this link.

  • Foreign Fund transfers allow you to transfer funds into and out of foreign fund accounts within the same currency (e.g. US savings into US chequing). You need to acquire a special Internet access only MemberCard to access your US accounts on-line.
  • If you currently have Inter Member transfers set up, please contact us as continuing that function will require some intervention by Wainwright Credit Union. We will be glad to assist you.
  • Recurring Transfers and Scheduled Bill Payments now have the following frequency options
  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Bi-weekly
  • Monthly
  • Yearly

As a result of conversion there has been an impact to Canada Revenue Agency payments (you will have to re-input) and any pre-dated or re-occurring payment schedule you have created on your Internet account, now have to be re-created (e.g. you have set a future payment to Telus Communications to occur on July 31 – this will have to be set up again)
