Wainwright Credit Union Ltd. was established by members of the community in 1943. Our community involvement is just as strong today as it was in the beginning. Many businesses simply talk about "social responsibility," but we put it in practice by supporting a wide range of community organizations and events. In some instances we provide financial assistance, and for others we offer our time and services, or we donate promotional items to support an event.
Community Social Responsibility Investment Program (CSRIP)
In 2010, Wainwright Credit Union announced our Community Social Responsibility Investment Program (CSRIP)! As a socially responsible organization, we’ve always been here to help our community! In times like these, when needs increase, our commitment to our community strengthens.
CSRIP is a Wainwright Credit Union program intended to provide support for community organization projects or programs that will improve the community for the social benefit and well being of all citizens. CSRIP is designed for larger requests that would fall outside of the usual requests from minor sports and other charitable requests which will continue to be handled directly through our branch network. Wainwright Credit Union Ltd. sets aside $30,000 annually with the intent to present three successful applicant groups with a grant of $10,000 each.
The deadline for submitting applications for funding in 2012 was November 30, 2011. Successful applicants will be announced, and funds will be presented at the February 2, 2012 Annual General Meeting.
If you are a community organization in need of support for a program or project that will improve the community for the social benefit and well being of all citizens, download, complete and submit the application form linked below.
